Permeability of Hydrate-Bearing Sediment Formed from CO2-N2 Mixture

CO2-N2-mixture injection can be used for the exploitation and reformation of natural gas hydrate reservoirs. The permeability evolution sediments in presence CO2-N2 is very important. In current tests, hydrate-bearing sediment formed from mixture rarely involved. this work, was mixtures, a constant flow method employed to measure sediments. effects CO2 mole fraction saturation on were investigated. results show that composition key factor affecting formation. Hydrate increases with increasing mixture. leads sharp reduction. higher injected mixture, lower sediment’s permeability. Our measured data also compared fitted prediction models. pore-filling model underestimates index Masuda 15.35, slightly than general values, which means hydrates tend occupy pore center, even block throat.
